In this drawing the wizard like figure of \u003cspan\u003eGlyndŵr,\u003c\/span\u003e summons \"spirits\" to assist in his rebellion against the English King Henry. The monstrous figures emerge from the water, a skeleton clutches a bag labelled Diamonds, one a plate of gold coins and another a golden casket.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIsaac Cruikshank was a leading figure in the \"Golden Age\" of British caricature. He is known for his sharp social and political commentary and as the father of the illustrators George and Robert.
