A leading figure of the Aesthetic movement, that also included James Abbott McNeill Whistler and Oscar Wilde. Beardsley's\u003cspan\u003e contribution to the development of the Art Nouveau \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003estyle was highly significant. The unidentified stylised monogram lower right is most likely inspired by \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cspan class=\"iNqyIf\" data-sfc-cp=\"\" jsaction=\"\" jscontroller=\"KdQfFc#d5Qebf\" data-sfc-root=\"ep\" jsuid=\"MXblye_z\" data-copy-service-computed-style='font-family: \"Google Sans\", Roboto, sans-serif; font-size: 21.16px; font-weight: 400; margin: 0px; text-decoration: none; border-bottom: 0px rgb(10, 10, 10);'\u003eJapanese woodblock print stamps, known as Hankos.
