He became known particularly for his humorous and satirical designs, which were best displayed in his two Christmas books,\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003eGriset’s Grotesques, or Jokes Drawn on Wood\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e(1867).
