Living with the Prince Nicolas Ouroussoff and a\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003essuming his pseudonym to avoid upsetting his family. He worked for Paul Poiret \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003efrom 1913 to 1914 and In 1915, he secured his first substantial contract with \u003ci\u003eHarpers Bazaar \u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003emagazine, and thus launched an illustrious career that included designing costumes and stage sets.
