Bresciani trained under Carlo Bianchi in Piacenza moving to work in Bologna with Donato Creti in 1748. He also worked in Parma, mainly employed in the decoration of ecclesiastical buildings. He was Professor of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts Of Parma. In 1777 he was made Honorary Academician of the Clementine Academy in Bologna.
