Early 19th.Century British School watercolour portrait drawing signed C G Dillon of a young gentleman. Signed lower left. Executed on thin wove card presented in original deep giltwood gesso frame with Lyre decorated corners. In "country house" condition image has age related staining and frame has some  losses. 16 by 17 cms image 27.8 by 29 cms. Overall in frame.

An accomplished but somewhat elusive artist,  possibly Irish, The National Portrait Gallery holds an engraving of Sir George Don after Dillon dated 1808.
