Édouard Fraisse 1880-1945. French School Early 20th.Century. Art Déco Bronze Award Medal. Femme avec Lyre. A female crouching to the right on a cloud playing a lyre, suns rays around. A wreath and tablet un-named to reverse. Circa.1930. Extremely fine example. Provenance: ex Fellerman collection. 4.1 cms. Diameter. 

Fraisse was a French sculptor, engraver, and medalist. Primarily known for his works inspired by or commissioned for sports events. He is often associated with the Society of French Artists and his work was exhibited at the Salon, where he won a gold medal in 1937.
