Italian School 18th.Century A very unusual Commedia D'ell Arte Theatrical Design. Oil and gouache on linen, probably a design for a theatrical backdrop. Painted with mythological and theatrical figures. Harlequin and Pantalone combine with a faun (or satyr), a depiction of Cupid and Psyche, Pegasus and a figure being drawn in a chariot by a lion and leopard.
