Louisa Anne Beresford Marchioness of Waterford was born in Paris the daughter of Charles Stuart 1st Baron Stuart de Rothesay. She was tutored by Dante Gabriel Rossetti and John Ruskin. She is believed to have modelled for John Everett Millais and was an inspirational figure within the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood.
