Circle of George Cruikshank. A charming little early 19th.Century watercolour study of an actor in the character of Harlequin exiting the stage at speed through a trap door. Titled "Mr Barker as Harlequin" British School Circa.1820. Watercolour on wove paper 10 cms by 8 cms. Some general creasing wear and timestaining to no real detriment. An interesting little snapshot into life behind the scenes of the Georgian stage.
