Pierre Turin was one of the most accomplished french sculptors and medallists who worked in the Art Déco Style. He studied at the Ecole Nationale Superieur de Beaux Arts and was a pupil of Frederic de Vernon, Auguste Paley and Jules Coulan. He designed the medal for the Exposition Internationale des Arts Decoratifs et Industriels Modernes, Paris, 1925.
