Suzanne Françoise L'Huillier Perregaux Swiss School Early 19th.Century Portrait Of A Lady Circa.1820

Suzanne Françoise L'Huillier Perregaux 1784-1822. Swiss School Early 19th.Century Watercolour Portrait of a lady seated in a landscape. Signed mid right. Watercolour on wove paper. Presented in a period gilt gesso frame.

L'Huillier was born in Geneva, the daughter of sculptor François L'Huillier and Marie Lantelme. She is known to have exhibited in Geneva in 1820. In 1821 she married the painter and miniaturist Charles Perregaux. Tragically she died the following year. Examples of her finely-executed works rarely appear on the market.
